This role sits at the front line of client engagement—translating impact expertise into credible, insight-led conversations that lead to capital deployment.What You’ll DoUse data and market insight to identify and prioritize impact investing prospects and clients. Work with internal teams to determine best way to engage with these individuals.Determine key influencers for impact-oriented family offices and foundations and develop engagement strategy.Develop targeted engagement strategies for advisors to share updated impact alternatives capabilities.Lead education-driven conversations with advisors, foundations, and family offices—building trust and advancing toward allocation decisionsTranslate complex impact strategies into clear, compelling narratives for sophisticated investorsCreate and refine client-facing materials that directly support investment decisionsAct as the quarterback in client engagements, bringing in internal experts at the right moments to deepen dialogue and move decisions forwardCapture feedback from internal and external stakeholders to inform the evolution of our impact strategies and client capabilitiesCore RequirementsImpact investing credibility: Deep familiarity with impact investing in private markets, including fluency in impact frameworks, measurement approaches, and trade-offs; able to engage credibly with sophisticated allocatorsWealth channel experience: Proven ability to engage advisors, family offices, foundations, or OCIOs in investment discussionsCommercial track record: Experience influencing or driving capital mobilization through relationship-led, education-first engagementExecutive presence: Ability to lead conversations, read the room, and build trust quicklyPreferred QualificationsUndergraduate Degree Required5–7+ years of experience in financial services (e.g., asset management, banking, wealth management)Working knowledge of private markets, including fund structures, illiquidity, capital calls, and manager selectionExperience supporting investor relations and fundraising/capital raising efforts such as helping prepare LP/investor communications and fundraising materials, coordinating diligence/Q&A and pipeline tracking, and supporting investor meetings/eventsFINRA licenses SIE, 7, 66; or willingness to obtain upon hireWho You AreYou lead with insight, not a pitch—but remain accountable for outcomesYou orchestrate conversations, not just participate in themYou simplify complexity without sacrificing credibilityYou are proactive and resourceful in navigating teams, systems, and clientsWhat Success Looks LikeIncreased allocations into impact-focused private markets strategiesStrong engagement across priority wealth and institutional segmentsEffective use of internal experts to deepen conversations and accelerate decisionsClient-ready materials that are actively used in allocation processesClear market feedback shaping future product and client capabilitiesWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
