Quality Inspector Location: North Vernon, IN Compensation Starting rate of $20.00 an hour (based on experience) Night shift premium of $1.50 per hour Available Shifts Day Shift – 6:50 am to 7:00 pm Night Shift – 6:50 pm to 7:00 am Apply Text to apply: 928-668-6539 (928-NOVOLEX) Position Summary The Quality Inspector has overall responsibility for quality and procedures and operations, overseeing quality systems to produce products in a cost-effective and safe manner, while operating within Novolex quality standards. Reports directly to the Quality Manager / SQF Practitioner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement and maintain the quality policy to ensure standards and goals are met. Promote a continuous improvement environment. Maintain documentation and production approvals related to quality. Advise supervisors and technicians on quality issues, product security, and performance. Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment and procedures to standard. Ensure acceptable attendance. Manage equipment and controls for training and effectiveness. Cross‑train within the department to ensure coverage during vacations, illness, and leaves of absence. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of experience in quality and safety. Knowledge of basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) and related quality tools. Experience working with manufacturing technology preferred. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
