Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $16.50 – $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance premiums, and other hours‑based premiums as applicable to schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if the criteria are met. Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence or when working opposing shifts. Lead the store team members in servicing customers and providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak hours. Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring ongoing training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Maintain telephone answering policy compliance. Process buy online/ship to store, hub‑to‑store, and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; notify customers of shipment arrivals. Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases according to procedure. Handle returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies, posted schedules, approvals for changes, and clock‑in/out procedures. Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
