About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Description: Charge experience preferred. Float across Emergency Department and inpatient units as needed. Requires ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC certifications. Three years of experience preferred. Standard Emergency Department patient population. Possibly includes prison patients and psych patients. Deliveries may occur in the Emergency Department with subsequent transfers. Psych holds are typical, usually lasting 24 hours or less. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Ventilator management is required before patient transfer to intensive care. One Emergency Department physician is on-site 24/7. Nurse aides are available 24/7. Common diagnosis includes varied Emergency Department presentations. Cancellation requires three shifts per 13-week contract. Charting system used is Cerner.
