The Worker’s Comp & Benefits Analyst supports the Benefits Manager and broader HR team by administering employee benefit programs with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, reporting, and process improvement. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to analyze eligibility and enrollment data, reconcile invoices, resolve complex benefit issues, and identify trends and risks. The Benefits Analyst also provides administrative support for the organization’s workers’ compensation program, including claim intake support, coordination with the carrier/TPA, and maintenance of required documentation. Success in this role requires advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, leaders, and vendors. Responsibilities Administer day-to-day benefits processes (eligibility, enrollments, changes, and terminations) in HRIS/benefits systems; ensure data integrity across systems and vendors. Reconcile monthly benefit invoices (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, etc.); research and resolve variances, document root cause, and coordinate corrections with payroll and vendors. Perform benefits audits (eligibility, dependent verification, billing, payroll deductions, vendor files/EDI); track exceptions through resolution and recommend preventative controls. Support Open Enrollment and vendor renewals by preparing enrollment files, testing carrier feeds, validating plan setup, and assisting with employee communications and education. Serve as a point of contact for escalated employee benefit questions; research plan provisions and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues within defined service levels. Coordinate Leave of Absence (LOA) and disability-related benefit impacts (as applicable): track key dates, confirm benefit status, and ensure accurate premium collection and deductions. Workers’ Compensation: support claim intake and documentation; coordinate with managers, carrier/TPA, and medical providers as needed; track claim status, work restrictions, and return-to-work documentation; maintain required records and reporting. Maintain up-to-date employee benefits records and organized electronic documentation; ensure confidentiality and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Provide ongoing support for HR and benefits projects, including process documentation, system testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2–4+ years of experience in benefits administration/benefits analysis, HR operations, or a related role (benefits analyst experience preferred). Experience reconciling benefit invoices, auditing eligibility/payroll deductions, and resolving complex discrepancies with vendors and internal partners. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to detect data inconsistencies, investigate root cause, and recommend process improvements and controls. Experience supporting workers’ compensation processes (e.g., claim intake coordination, documentation management, claim status tracking, and return-to-work documentation). Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; experience with HRIS/benefits systems (ADP preferred). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining confidentiality and a high standard of accuracy. We offer 100% employer paid medical plan.
