Construction Manager, Railroad

What You Will Do GFT is seeking a Railroad Construction Manager to join our Construction Services group in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities Inspect and oversee construction work to ensure procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. Perform quality control inspection and documentation on railroad projects. Oversee material testing. Track construction cost and prepare estimates. Coordinate among construction project stakeholders. Maintain daily and periodic documentation and records throughout the project. Visit project sites to inspect and document field work performed. Prepare technical reports. Observe and inspect construction work and contractor operations. Maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports. Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance. Qualifications Minimum high‑school diploma. 5+ years of general construction experience. Ability to travel 90% of the time. Valid driver’s license. Successful background check and drug screening. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience in highway or railroad construction. Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, HeadLight, etc.). Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree. Compensation The salary range for this role is $100,000‑$145,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
