Safety Coordinator

Job Summary The Safety Coordinator will provide support to the Training Director in the coordination and execution of daily requirements to provide a safe workplace at our area project sites. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist in providing safety orientation to new hire employees Maintain records of new Hire safety training Perform safety audits and inspections as directed by the Training Director or customer representatives Coordinating and conducting audits, inspections, and training sessions Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of EH&S policies and procedures Coordinate all aspects of injury and illness investigations and reporting, including OSHA recordkeeping Maintain communication with management to understand trends in claims and what can be done to mitigate those safety risks Coordinate and accompany customer and outside agency representatives during safety inspections Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and best practices Ability to create documentation and safety logs Ability to communicate in a professional, clear manner Ability to multi-task while maintaining excellent organizational skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, & Smart Sheets Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in structured cabling is a plus Construction Health and Safety Technician® (CHST) certification preferred but not required Physical Requirements The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds.
