MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team. As part of the MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, you'll contribute to advancing cardiovascular care on both a regional and national level. This role will be inpatient. Primarily the duties of the role will be pre and post op care and determining plan of care.

This is a 36 hour, 7a-7p position. (Three 12-hour shifts weekly) The ideal candidate will have background experience in Cardiac surgery or a surgical setting.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner certificate program required
• Current national certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Two of years' experience as a practitioner preferred.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
• Current Maryland licensure.
• Certified in CPR, ACLS required.

This position has a hiring range of USD $115,003.00 - USD $189,999.00 /Yr.
