Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to formulate and execute tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide essential intraoperative support, including preparation of operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and delivering surgical instruments during procedures
• Offer exceptional pre- and post-operative care including administering medications, managing wound care, organizing discharge planning, and educating patients on recovery processes

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a focus on surgery are strongly desired

Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of surgical principles and sterile techniques
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and play a role in complex clinical decision-making
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
