Oral Surgeon

Job Title: Part-Time Oral Surgeon Location: Oxford Dental, Oxford, Mississippi Position Type: Part-Time (2-4 times a month) Overview Seeking an experienced and compassionate Oral Surgeon to perform a variety of surgical procedures including tooth extractions, dental implants, and biopsies . The role involves collaborating with general dentists, ensuring patient safety, and providing post-operative care in a state-of-the‑art practice. Responsibilities Perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries and treatments. Develop and implement treatment plans with the dental team. Create a safe, comfortable environment for patients during and after procedures. Educate patients on post‑op care and follow‑up. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems. Communicate treatment options and recovery expectations clearly. Stay current with advancements in oral surgical techniques and technology. Qualifications DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school. Completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Board certification or eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Valid dental license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS). Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and patient‑centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
