We are seeking a F/T Banquet Manager to join our team at Mill on the River! You will be responsible for booking and managing memorable events for our guests as well as managing daily operations of front of the house staff with other managers .

Responsibilities:

Primarily book and execute all special events - wedding receptions, anniversary parties, bridal and baby showers, holiday functions, business dinners, and bereavement luncheons/dinners

• Supervise and coordinate banquet staff assignments
• Train banquet staff in proper restaurant skills and protocols as well as provide them with oversight and mentorship
• Convey proper information via phone, email, and venue tours with an upbeat, personable, and welcoming demeanor
• Provide guidance to couples, especially brides, on the actual wedding day
• Oversee guest services, resolve issues, and ensure all guests experience a pleasant environment provided by competent staff
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of POS system in order to adjust check item/payment errors and run appropriate reports
• Answer phones and assist in the taking of reservations utilizing Open Table, providing various general information to guests

​ Qualifications:

• Substantial experience (5 years+ strongly preferred) selling, booking, and executing events of 25 - 120 guests in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant/facility and/or equivalent venue REQUIRED
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexibility
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and ALL HOLIDAYS
