Registered Nurse – Postpartum. This travel nursing assignment is in the postpartum unit of a hospital setting in Cambridge, MA. Start date is 07/28/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,477 to $2,664. Shift is 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). This position is a Travel - Temporary Assignment with system-wide and unit orientation included.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, skilled nursing care to postpartum mothers and healthy newborns on the postpartum unit
- Monitor vital signs, assess recovery, manage pain, hydration, and discharge planning; identify and respond to postpartum complications such as magnesium sulfate use and potential hemorrhage
- Administer medications as ordered (IV antibiotics, IV magnesium intermittently, PRBCs, Rhogam, Lovenox) and assist with newborn care and lactation support
- Support breastfeeding and family education; collaborate with the care team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions to home
- Document in the electronic medical record (EMR) and participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives
- On-call: Not required; volunteers may cover vacant shifts if needed

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license with NURSYS verification (ACTIVE current or conditional) pulled within the last 7 days
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum/postpartum-related acute care nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications
- Flu vaccination required during influenza season
- Two recent references from Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor in the specialty
- EMR experience preferred (EPIC); lactation certification preferred
