About Facility: 2320 E. 93rd St., Chicago, IL Beds: 205 Level II NICU No trauma designation Outpatient unit inside of Advocate Trinity in the Same Day Surgery area.

Unit Information: Beds: 5 chairs Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year of outpatient infusion/oncology experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, but would prefer someone who has traveled before

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Adults only, no peds Oncology patients, long term IVABX, injections, blood and platelet infusions Will be giving chemotherapy agents as well, so must be comfortable with that

Patient Ratios: On average, around 10 patients per day through the department. No chemo patients after 1400 or so.

Required License/Certs: BLS, ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification

Skills required: Chemo administration experience, peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath and PICC line access skills Great assessment skills, comfortable recognizing adverse reactions Comfortable drawing blood from ports for labs

Support within the Department: Clinic lead (shared between Trinity and South Suburban Hospital) Schedulers to schedule patient appointments Oncologist not in the clinic but on site at the hospital and can respond if needed Can call a rapid response and hospitalist/ED doc can response 1 other infusion RN

Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC preferred but not required IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Pyxis

Floating: No Orientation (facility and unit): General orientation One shift of orientation on the unit to learn the flow Scheduling: Weekend rotation: None On call? No Holiday Expectations: Closed on major RTO: We can approve 7 days Shift times: Monday Friday, 0800-1630 Clinic closes at 1530, but might stay longer to finish infusions
