Fire Alarm Project Manager

Duties Oversee project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor planning, and field installation. Ensure proper documentation throughout the project’s lifecycle, including RFIs, transmittals, permits, change orders, and final closeout requirements. Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to stakeholders. Analyze and prepare billings within project scope to maintain positive cash flow. Assist with Change Order research and development, and provide in‑house estimating and proposals as needed. Proactively recognize and manage risks, actively participating in creative solutions. Ensure safety protocols are implemented and comply with company and project requirements. Understand the project scope and complete jobs within budget. Review and update job status and cost to completion at least once per month, and more often on active projects. Participate in meetings with contract administration, field supervision, and engineering departments to review all ongoing projects. Assist with the project schedule to complete all phases of work, including installation and final certification testing. Understand and follow adopted codes and standards to ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal legal requirements. Follow industry‑standard project management procedures and processes. Education / Certification Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state, or local codes. Experience / Requirements Must have 3+ years of industry experience in security/fire and project management. Ideal candidate should be technically inclined, possess good written and verbal communication skills, be energetic, self‑motivated, dependable, work under little or no supervision, and demonstrate job stability and eagerness to learn. Experience in the construction field or knowledge of the fire alarm/security industry is highly encouraged. Physical requirements may include climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, working on stairs, scaffolding, ramps, moving between worksites, operating in tight and confined spaces, and performing general office duties with computer use. Ability to read and interpret applicable documents, materials, policies, procedures, etc. in English. Pay and Benefits Disclosure The salary range for this role is $52,921.00 – $132,842.00 and is based on experience and qualifications. Certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
