Job Title: Cook 
Location: Williamsburg
Schedule: Part-Time / On-Call 

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated  Part-Time Cook to support meal preparation and service for large groups in accordance with USDA-approved menus. This is an on-call position ideal for someone with a strong background in food service and a passion for maintaining high standards in health, safety, and food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals for large groups following USDA-approved menus
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Maintain compliance with health department standards and sanitation procedures
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and internal operating procedures
• Support inventory and storage management for food and supplies
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in food service operations, preferably in large-scale meal preparation
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
• Strong understanding of health and sanitation practices
• Valid Food Handler’s Card and ServeSafe certification preferred
• Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of a background investigation, including criminal history, CPS, sex offender registry, and drug screening
