Occupational Therapist School Setting in Scranton, PA

Make an impact this summer by supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Pennsylvania state license in Occupational Therapy
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
• Commitment to supporting diverse student needs in an inclusive setting

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in the ESY program according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver integrated therapeutic interventions
• Participate in an orientation session on Monday, June 29th, to prepare for the program
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress throughout the program
• Engage students in activities designed to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and independence in school tasks
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress
