Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Riverview, Florida. Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Our facility is equipped with advanced treatment modalities, providing you the tools necessary to help our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing customized treatment plans that focus on enhancing patients' mobility and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and treatment protocols while emphasizing correct body mechanics and safety.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-management strategies to facilitate their recovery at home.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under supervision and guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of patient progress, including improvements in range of motion, strength, and functionality while adhering to the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
• Organize and prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is functional and readily available for therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to devise and adjust treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes while attending team meetings and participating in case discussions.
• Provide motivational support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journeys, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes needing sports rehabilitation, and patients with chronic conditions. Your work will significantly impact their recovery trajectory and overall health, allowing you to witness firsthand how therapeutic interventions contribute to improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions as they pertain to physical therapy practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• A patient-centered and empathetic approach to care, demonstrating an authentic commitment to helping individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Organizational and time management skills, enabling efficient handling of multiple patient schedules and documentation responsibilities.
• A proactive attitude towards continued education and staying updated on best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and the ability to navigate patient management software.
• Background in specialized rehabilitation fields, such as sports therapy or geriatrics, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
