What you’ll do As a Satellite Business Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting satellite and network infrastructure operations that enable connectivity across distributed enterprise environments. You will work closely with operations, field services, and engineering teams to improve how satellite-based services are deployed, monitored, and maintained. You will play a meaningful role in improving satellite operations and service delivery while supporting real customer and internal initiatives. This is a 10-week summer internship (June 2 - August 6) requiring 40 hours per week of on-site work. In this role, you will contribute to real-world operational initiatives and projects that directly impact service delivery and customer experience. Major duties and responsibilities Work on supporting satellite and network operations under the guidance of experienced team members Support monitoring and performance analysis of satellite connectivity systems using enterprise monitoring tools Assist in tracking and managing satellite equipment and related network assets Analyze workflows related to satellite deployments, maintenance, and service delivery Identify inefficiencies in processes such as equipment allocation, field dispatch, and service response Partner with operations and field teams to gather insights and recommend process improvements Support documentation of satellite operations processes and best practices Assist in troubleshooting connectivity or performance issues under the guidance of senior team members Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime, response time, and asset utilization Contribute to initiatives that improve service reliability and customer experience Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for operational and leadership teams Complete a capstone project or final presentation summarizing key findings, contributions, or process improvements delivered during the internship Who you are You are a detail-oriented and analytical problem solver with an interest in telecommunications, satellite systems, or network operations. You enjoy understanding how systems work end-to-end and are motivated to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
