Job DescriptionRole OverviewAmpa Events is seeking a highly motivated and creative Designer to join our design andsales team. In this role, you will lead the client experience from initial consultation through finalexecution of custom event environments and interior spaces. Your primary goal is to interpretclient visions, translate them into compelling 3D renderings and design concepts, and driverevenue through consultative sales and relationship building. This position also includes assisting with event installations and supporting on-site execution to ensure projects are delivered according to the approved design vision.MUST HAVE STRONG RENDERING SKILLS AND ABLE TO PROVIDE PORTFOLIO.THIS IS A SALES POSITION USING DESIGN AND RENDERING SKILLS.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Visualization:Design & Conceptualization:Create 3D renderings, spatial layouts, and mood boards for corporate events, trade shows, and brand activations.Design custom scenic elements, marketing displays, and stage sets that align with client brand guidelines.Sales & Business Development:Drive new revenue by pitching design concepts, experiential environments, and custom display packages to prospective clients.Prepare detailed project estimates, cost proposals, and scopes of work.Project Production & Coordination:Partner with internal fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are structurally sound, functional, and budget-compliant.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Scenic Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Event Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.Experience:* Professional experience in Scenic Design, interior design, spatial planning, event design, ordesign-focused sales.* Experience in event planning, event production, or experiential environments preferred.interior or scenic design: 3 years (Required)rendering skills: 5 years (Required)fabrication skills: 5 years (Required)sales: 3 years (Required)Technical Proficiency* Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or relateddesign software.Strong rendering and visualization skills are required.Portfolio submission is required and should demonstrate design thinking, renderingcapabilities, and completed projects.Sales Acumen* Demonstrated success in consultative sales, client relationship management, businessdevelopment, or closing design-focused projects.* Comfortable prospecting, presenting concepts, and pursuing new businessopportunities.Soft SkillsExceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strong project management and organizational abilities.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a keen eye for color, scale,lighting, and spatial composition.Physical & Schedule RequirementsAbility to participate in event installations and on-site project execution.Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.Ability to lift and move event-related materials when needed.Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours based on event schedules.Benefits:401(k) matchingPaid time offHealth Insurance for employee onlyEducation:Bachelor's (Required)interior or scenic design: 3 years (Required)rendering skills: 5 years (Required)fabrication skills: 5 years (Required)sales: 3 years (Required)Candidate will have a major role in developing the display department.
