Established (140+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Patent Litigation Associate for Patent Litigation in Palo Alto, California

 

An established firm based in Palo Alto, California with over 140+ years in practice is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 2+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This role focuses on patent infringement litigation, PTAB proceedings, ITC investigations, and complex technology disputes , representing innovative clients in high stakes matters across the technology and life sciences sectors.

Salary range: $225,000-$370,000+ contingent on experience

Qualifications
Active California Bar membership in good standing
2+ years of patent litigation experience in a law firm environment
Experience handling patent infringement matters in federal district court
Exposure to PTAB proceedings, inter partes reviews, or ITC investigations preferred
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Technical background in engineering, computer science, or a related field preferred
USPTO registration is a plus

 

Responsibilities
Represent clients in patent litigation matters before federal courts and administrative bodies
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery related to patent disputes
Participate in fact discovery, expert discovery, and deposition preparation
Support trial preparation and courtroom proceedings in complex technology cases
Collaborate with partners and senior associates on litigation strategy and case development
Conduct legal and technical research related to patent validity, infringement, and damages
