Remote Medical Records Clerk

Virtual Vocations Inc

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Remote Medical Records Clerk will support the HEDIS Effectiveness Data and Information Set project by obtaining and reviewing medical records in accordance with NCQA guidelines. Key responsibilities Obtain and distribute medical record data for scanning purposes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize various software applications to enter data and manage medical records related to HEDIS operations Collaborate with the HEDIS Coordinator and Quality Improvement Specialists to address open issues and review HEDIS efforts Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in a relevant field High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assistant certification preferred Proficiency in data entry and typing Strong PC skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial
