Float Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist for its Richardson/Garland, Texas laboratory operations. The role involves performing blood collections across multiple patient age groups and client sites, with flexible weekday hours and potential weekend coverage. This full-time position offers travel opportunities across a 30+ mile service area.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for diverse patient age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other assays
- Enter patient information accurately and maintain specimen logs
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and process billing information
- Provide customer service and travel to multiple client and hospital locations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Age 21 or older
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Reliable personal transportation
- Preferred: 2+ years phlebotomy experience in clinical or hospital setting
- Preferred: 1+ years experience with pediatric through geriatric patient populations
Compensation: Base pay not stated; float incentive of $1.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement; eligible for quarterly performance bonus
