Phlebotomist IIPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Chicago, IL 60611. Schedule: 7am to 8pm. Location: Chicago, IL 60611. Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 3 months + Contract to Possible Pay Range: $20/Hr To $23/Hr. Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 1 Year of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.Valid state phlebotomy certification where required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.2–4 years of experience listed as preferred/required in the posting.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment Opportunity Pride-Health is an equal opportunity employer.
