Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic and sports medicine experience for a surgical hospital setting requiring KS or compact RN licensure.

Details

Operating Room unit within a surgical hospital with 6 total operating rooms, 4 dedicated to orthopedics daily

High volume of total joint replacement cases (knee, hip, shoulder, ankle) with minimal vendor assistance

Additional caseload includes sports medicine procedures such as ACL repairs, shoulder scopes, rotator cuff repairs, and meniscal repairs

Averages approximately 25 cases per day

Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or call requirements

Requirements

Active RN license (KS or Compact) required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required

Strong orthopedic and sports medicine surgical experience required

Must know surgical instruments, room setup, and workflow for orthopedic procedures

Additional Information

Responsible for pulling own cases, setting up and turning over own operating rooms

May assist sterile processing staff with instrument sterilization or assembling instrument sets
