Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care to diverse populations, including those with neurological conditions and post-surgical needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.Monitor patients' conditions and collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.Titrate medication drips as necessary, including Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine.Work within a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6.Manage discharge and admissions efficiently due to high patient turnover.Participate in hourly rounding and patient responsiveness initiatives.Possess strong telemetry awareness and collaborate with Tele/Monitor Techs for patient care.Team EnvironmentWork alongside a Charge Nurse who also takes an assignment during shifts.Support from nursing aides and patient care technicians with a ratio of 1:10-20.Engage with a diverse patient population, including speakers of Spanish, Karen, and Burmese.QualificationsMust possess a current RN license and have at least 2 years of nursing experience.Required certifications include BLS (AHA) and NIHSS.Experience in travel nursing is preferred, but strong candidates without travel experience will be considered.Must have no recent license or background issues.Shift Details12-hour day shifts with a guaranteed schedule of 36 hours per week.Travelers are expected to work at least every other weekend and may be required to cover holidays.Floating to other medical-surgical areas or units may be required based on patient needs.Additional InformationMechanical lifts available in select rooms.Focus on patient-first care, teamwork, and excellent attendance.Uniforms: Navy Blue scrubs are required.Orientation for new hires includes 2 days of unit-specific training.If you are a caring and committed Registered Nurse looking to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team in a rewarding environment.
