Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Cardiac ICU within a hospital setting
• Unit staffing includes a Charge RN, RNs, and a PCT on both day and night shifts
• Maintains a 1 RN to 2 patient ratio
• Utilizes cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU hospital experience required
• Experience with neuro and medical ICU patient populations preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac ICU patients including those requiring intubation and central line placement
• Collaborative, team-oriented personality is a strong fit for this unit
• 24/7 physician coverage available including intensivist, neuro-intensivist, and trauma surgeon support
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
