What We're Seeking

Morning Walk is seeking a technically grounded, AI-native analyst to join our Performance Marketing Data & Analytics team in Chicago or Milwaukee. This is a hybrid role with an incredible team. We work in-office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and Tuesdays and Fridays you have the option to work from home. This role comes with real ownership from the start. You'll be the person our account, media, creative, and CRM teams come to when a measurement question needs an answer, and you'll have room to build the systems that produce those answers rather than inheriting someone else's. Curiosity and initiative count for more here than years on a resume.

You'll own measurement and analytics for brands including Kalahari Resorts & Conventions and OPTIMA Batteries, and you'll help us win new business by turning data into a point of view clients haven't heard before. We want someone with strong technical foundations who can interpret and explain technical concepts. We're looking for someone genuinely fluent with AI tools: someone who uses AI to plan, build, debug, and learn faster, and who can tell when the output is wrong.

What You'll Be Doing

The Foundational Work You'll Own

\n
• Attribution: Own Rockerbox end to end — configuration, channel and campaign mapping, conversion deduplication, QA, and recurring reporting. Own the interpretation too: where the model disagrees with platform-reported numbers, and why. You can explain to a client why Meta claims credit for a conversion the model assigns elsewhere, and you're confident enough to say when multi-touch attribution can't answer the question at all.

• Web Analytics: Own GA4 across our client portfolio — property and data stream architecture, event schemas, key event configuration, custom dimensions, audiences, and reporting. You know what it's good at and what it should never be asked to do, and you say so plainly rather than producing a number you don't believe.

• Tag Management: Own Google Tag Manager — data layer design, tag and trigger builds, versioning, governance, and validation before anything ships. You treat consent as part of the measurement architecture, not a legal afterthought.

• Data & Warehouse: Write clean, well-structured SQL against BigQuery and Snowflake to answer questions about customer behavior, segments, retention, and campaign performance. You document your queries so the next person can follow the logic.

Working With AI

• Use tools like Claude to scope analyses, draft and refactor SQL, debug tagging problems, and get up to speed on unfamiliar platforms faster.
\n
• Read AI output critically — you can tell when a query is subtly wrong, when a recommendation doesn't fit the client's data model, and when a confident answer is still a wrong one. You verify before you ship.
\n
• Use AI to learn, not to skip learning. When you lean on it to get through something new, you come out the other side understanding it.
\n
• Identify where automation pays off and build it — recurring client reports, scheduled warehouse summaries, retiring manual pulls that eat a day every month.
\n
• Turn what you learn into documentation, templates, and repeatable processes so the team gets smarter together.
\n

Across Clients and New Business

\n
• Partner with strategy, media, creative, CRM, and account leads to define what success looks like before a campaign launches, not after.
\n
• Build reporting people actually read: clear, honest, and pointed at a decision.
\n
• Present findings directly to clients and partners — this is a client-facing role.
\n
• Support new business with measurement approaches, audits, and analysis that help us win.
\n
• Build and maintain testing frameworks; help clients understand what a result does and doesn't prove.
\n
• Stay current on measurement, privacy, and platform changes — GA4, GTM, attribution methods, and data privacy compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
\n
• Document processes, playbooks, and learnings so the team keeps getting smarter.
\n

Experience / Qualifications / Skills

\n
• 2+ years (Analyst) or 4+ years (Senior Analyst) in marketing analytics, digital analytics, or a similar data role, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
\n
• Google Analytics 4 proficiency covering implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reporting, including a clear understanding of the event-based data model.
\n
• Google Tag Manager proficiency across data layer, tags, triggers, variables, QA, and governance.
\n
• SQL strong enough to work independently, including joins, aggregations, window functions, and CTEs, against a cloud warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
\n
• Marketing attribution literacy — you understand multi-touch attribution, its assumptions, and where it breaks, and you can explain the gap between platform-reported and modeled results to a non-technical audience.
\n
• Demonstrated AI fluency in day-to-day analytical work, with the judgment to evaluate and correct what these tools produce.
\n
• Strong analytical reasoning and the instinct to sanity-check a number before it reaches a client.
\n
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move a project forward without being managed through it.
\n

Preferred Experience

\n
• Hands-on experience with Rockerbox (now part of DoubleVerify) or a comparable attribution platform such as Northbeam or Measured, or with an in-house model
\n
• Server-side tagging experience, including server-side GTM or conversion APIs, and Consent Mode configuration.
\n
• Google Cloud Platform familiarity beyond querying, such as scheduled queries, data transfers, and cost awareness.
\n
• Experience with Looker Studio, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
\n
• Exposure to incrementality testing or media mix modeling.
\n
• Travel, hospitality, retail, e-commerce, or automotive aftermarket category experience.
\n
• Light scripting for automation and troubleshooting, such as Python or JavaScript for GTM.
\n

Leveling

Level and offer are determined by demonstrated experience, including a short, practical exercise in the interview process. We'd rather title you accurately and grow you than hand you a title you have to grow into.
