Salary: $208,592 - 429,454 per year Requirements:
- We look for 9+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in iOS or Android and strong familiarity with web technologies.
- We require 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing client or platform engineering teams.
- We value deep knowledge of client performance, including profiling, instrumentation, and optimization techniques.
- We need a strong technical background in media rendering, image delivery, video streaming, and client-side performance.
- Experience with media frameworks such as AVFoundation and ExoPlayer is important.
- We expect a history of delivering meaningful improvements in product experience, system performance, or engineering efficiency.
- We seek someone who can lead across platforms and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Strong communication, sound technical judgment, and a people-centered leadership style are essential.
- We require a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- We will have you lead a cross-platform team focused on image rendering and video playback across our apps and web surfaces.
- You will define the teams technical direction and drive execution on media quality, performance, and reliability.
- You will work closely with Media Transcoding, Performance, Data Science, Product, and Infrastructure teams to improve media delivery and the user experience.
- You will spearhead efforts to reduce media load times, smooth playback, and maintain high visual quality at scale.
- You will guide platform and architecture decisions while balancing product goals, technical investment, and long-term maintainability.
- You will help build and develop a high-performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, and mentoring.
- You will strengthen engineering excellence through operational discipline, performance measurement, testing, and release quality.
- You will support our adoption of new media technologies and formats that enhance the experience for a global audience.
