Description
Summary/Objective The Business Systems Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for end user support, system training and business process coordination across company software platforms. This role supports the successful adoption, maintenance and continuous improvement of business systems by assisting users, documenting processes, coordinating system enhancements and supporting software implementations and integrations.
The Business Systems Coordinator bridges the gap between business users and technical resources, ensuring employees receive timely support, effective training and positive system experiences while helping the organization maximize the value of its technology investments.
Essential Functions
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for business system support requests, troubleshooting common user issues and coordinating resolution with internal teams and vendors.
- Request Management: Manage enhancement requests and system related inquiries, ensuring issues are properly documented and prioritized.
- Training & User Adoption: Develop and deliver training materials, job aids, and user guidance to improve system adoption and user effectiveness across the organization.
- Documentation & Process Management: Assist with creating and maintaining documentation for business processes, workflows, system procedures and software functionality.
- Business Process Support: Gather feedback from users, identify process improvement opportunities and assist in the evaluation and implementation of system enhancements.
- Implementation Support: Assist with software implementations, data migrations, system upgrades, and new feature rollouts by coordinating activities, testing functionality and supporting end users.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Participate in system testing activities, validate results, document findings and coordinate issue resolution before deployment.
- Data Quality Support: Assist with maintaining data accuracy and consistency by identifying issues, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting governance efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency, system utilization, reporting accuracy, and overall user experience.
Key Skills and abilities
- Experience supporting business software applications, ERP systems, HRIS platforms, CRM systems, and/or other enterprise technologies.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support users at various technical skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
- Ability to develop training materials and deliver effective user training.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and system procedures.
- Ability to gather requirements, coordinate testing activities, and support software implementations.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
Required Education, Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
- 35 years of experience in ERP administration, business systems analysis, or similar roles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite experience required).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, fax machines and copy machines. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds.
