Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting a full-time Staff Accountant for our client located in Ingleside, TX. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hands-on support related tasks. The candidate will have the ability to function efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible and proactive.


This position is temporary to hire, the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and the salary is between $55,000 - $60,000.


Responsibilities :

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of billings and invoices.
• Respond to customer inquiries concerning accounts payable invoices.
• Enter all payables, request approvals and prepare for payment.
• Special projects and other duties assigned.
• Completes barge reports, reviews boat logs to complete job orders.
• Participating in customer and business development meetings.
• Assist with credit card reconciliation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a highly accredited university;
• Minimum GPA of 3.0;
• Individuals without a Bachelor's degree will not be considered
• Microsoft Office Knowledge Required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong Excel Skills Required
• Previous Accounting and QuickBooks experience required
• Background in maritime industry is preferred but not required
