Radiation TherapistDelivers radiation treatments in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation OncologistReports to: Director - Cancer Center OperationsMinimum EducationGraduate of a program in discipline to obtain required registry - RequiredBachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy - PreferredRequired SkillsCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association training center is required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hireRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Required SkillsLicenses: Registered with the Association of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) and have the designation of Therapist (T), or must be a graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program and be board eligible for the ARRT Radiation Therapy exam. Exam must be successfully passed within 12 months from their date of employment.
