Program Manager

New Venture Research Corporation (NVRC) is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions supporting critical defense programs. Our team is searching for a Program Manager with proven expertise in the management of prime contracts for Department of War (DoW) customers. The ideal candidate will have verifiable experience managing these contracts in execution with government customers as well as experience managing subcontractor teammates. Candidate will have a general understanding of the design, integration, and production of military hardware and software for C4I/C5ISR systems. The Program Manager is responsible for developing detailed project plans, ensuring resources are available and allocated properly, and guaranteeing deliverables are provided on time, within budget, and scope. This key role will serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and will provide clear and consistent information throughout all phases of contract transition and execution. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage all aspects of prime contract transition and execution, including tracking funding and resource allocation, meeting timely completion of recurring and ad-hoc contract deliverable deadlines, and ensuring output accuracy Oversee the execution of prime contracts for DoW customers Interface frequently with customers in person, virtually, and by phone Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships Manage relationships and requirements with subcontractor teammates Assess risks to the project and develop contingency plans for potential issues Critically evaluate problems and develop strategic solutions promptly Required Minimum Qualifications Successful track record of program management for prime contracts serving DoW customers Exceptional attention to detail, organizational coordination, and multi-tasking skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of DoW environments and associated requirements for personnel operating in those environments Required Education, Certifications, and Length of Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems engineering, business or related scientific/technical discipline, Master’s degree in any of the same fields preferred Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or equivalent 7+ years of progressive experience in prime contract program management for DoW customers related to design, integration and production of military hardware/software for C4I/C5ISR systems Travel Requirements Travel up to 25% may be required. Clearance Type Required Candidates must currently hold, at minimum, a Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI clearance.
