Quality Line InspectorLocation: Naperville, ILSchedule: Mon-Fri 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 1:00 AMCompensation: $17 per hour, plus a $2,000 prepaid card for medical expenses (prorated based on start date)About the RoleYour eye for detail keeps our products meeting the highest standards before they ship to major data centers and clients. You'll perform inspections at every stage of production, use specialized test equipment, and catch issues early. This is critical work that directly enhances our customers trust.Responsibilities:Perform in-process and final inspection of fiber optic connector terminations (LC, SC, MPO/MTP, MMC) using inspection microscopes per IEC/TIA standardsMeasure and validate optical performance including insertion loss and return lossConduct line audits to monitor manufacturing processes for compliance and identify trendsAccurately record inspection results, test data, and document any nonconformances for traceabilityInitiate containment actions when nonconforming material is detected and support first article and NPI inspectionsSupport root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activitiesQualifications:Have an associate degree in Engineering Technology or a 2-year diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical fields highly preferred, but not requiredWillingness to learn and a positive attitude is more valuable than direct experienceHave 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus, but not required)Have careful attention to detail and can use precision inspection equipmentAre willing to travel as neededCan work methodically on detailed, repetitive inspection tasksBenefits:Robust health, dental, and vision coverage that starts on day 1401(k) with match, vests immediately after a 90-day waiting periodFlexible PTO that grows over time10 paid holidays, including 2 floating holidaysMonthly team eventsShift differential for 2nd shiftOvertime eligibilityClick here to view our full benefits overview.At viaPhoton, we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
