Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Description onsemi is currently seeking a hands‑on Process Engineer to work as a CFA Process Engineer. A Manufacturing CFA Shift Process Engineer in Nampa works on a shift team to support the manufacture of Image Sensor product lines. The primary responsibility is to sustain Color Filter Array (CFA) manufacturing processes—including photolithography, wet processes, dry etch, metrology, and real‑time defect analysis (RDA)—and to drive engineering issues to resolution. Note: This position is a rotating shift; all employees will rotate to night shifts, and night shifts to days every 3 to 4 months. Compressed shift: E shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, e/o Saturday rotate to day shift; A shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday e/o Wednesday 6 am – 6 pm. Responsibilities Develop an in-depth understanding of how the CFA process is performed to diagnose issues during the process. Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis skills to investigate process control charts, react to out‑of‑control/specification (OOC/OOS) conditions, and implement corrective actions. Evaluate process results using statistical methods, implement solutions, and recommend or drive process yield improvements. Identify key manufacturing issues and lead cross‑functional teams to develop solutions. Maintain, characterize, and improve process performance for efficient imager CFA development work. Work with other CFA teams on process, tool, and materials development. Provide direction for running experiments, special requests, inspections, and metrology tasks for the part types running in the CFA fab. Document experiments clearly and concisely to train and educate team members. Develop advanced metrology equipment skills to perform in‑depth product analysis and data collection. Work closely with the lead and shift engineers on fab issues and implement solutions. Competencies Self‑motivated and independent. Approachable with an internal customer focus. Integrity. Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem‑solving/troubleshooting skills. Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems. Experience with project management. Experience with data‑driven continuous improvement. Comfortable in a fast‑paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment. Understands and listens to team members and fosters a productive team environment. Handles multiple projects and priorities. Can work independently with limited supervision.
