You will be an integral part of a best-in-class maintenance program by supporting the inventory and planning processes through accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:30 PMThis is an on-site role located in Shelbyville, IN. Responsibilities include:Properly managing documentation records related to deliveries and inventory transactions.Maintaining accountability for all tools, equipment, and supplies.Maintaining a clean and organized storeroom and Shipping/Receiving areas.Working with the local leadership team by ordering parts and equipment as needed and maintaining optimized reorder points.Consistently maintaining strong inventory accuracy, while using sound practices to resolve issues and notify management of significant discrepancies.Reviewing obsolete parts and sharing with management options on how to handle.Take an active role in shutdown planning and proactively updates part availability.Operating the forklift for parts movement.Supporting periodic inventory audits.Actively maintaining the Bar/QR code labelling program.Responsible for coordination of plant mobile/EZMax Mobile devices.Coordinate and conduct onsite Maximo Training for new hires and at times assist other POET facilities with Maximo support and troubleshooting.Learn and understand the basic operation of the plant process to understand and anticipate plant needs.Coordinate work functions with fellow team members and other departments within POET.Always maintain a team environment and champion POET in the community.Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.Maintain and advance the food safety and quality of POET’s products and processes to deliver a best-in-class culture of quality.Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSHaving a high school diploma or equivalent is required.Having experience with maintenance managements systems such as Maximo is a plus.UpTime Elements Maintenance Reliability Certification or equivalent certification is also a plus.You have the ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification.You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn computerized accounting systems.You are a self-starter and take initiative, but are also able to work collaboratively with the team.You have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.You are detail oriented and a critical thinker with the ability to exercise independent judgement.You are dedicated to honesty, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in all business matters and assignments.You are able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment.You are eager to learn and change the world – Never Satisfied.A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVEHigh level of personal integrityInterpersonal skills – ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organizationDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to embrace and promote changeInnovative mindsetAbility to think objectivelySelf-awareness in the face of uncertaintyAbility to work in a team environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENTThis role has some physical requirements that our team members will need to be able to perform, such as:Occasionally lifting weight up to sixty (60) pounds.Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.Opening valves.Occasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.Walking up to two (2) or more miles per day.Pushing brooms, shovels, etc.Working at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.Standing for extended periods of time.Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Using hand and power tools.Due to the physical and safety sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process. During employment, you’ll be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments. This position is exposed to work in multiple environments, including plant, laboratory, as well as an office environment. The team member may be exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals.In this role, you’ll be asked to drive a POET vehicle.
