Job Description

Warehouse Assistant – Fulfillment & Inventory Arnoff Moving and Storage | Malta, NY
$18–$22/hour + on-call pay · Full-Time · 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday

Want a warehouse job where you're more than a picker? In this role, you'll ship orders, run inventory counts, and work directly with the customers who depend on us. You'll also have the chance to earn extra pay through our on-call rotation.

Arnoff Moving and Storage is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our customers' fulfillment operations. You'll be a key part of how they get their product out the door, and your work will make a visible difference to them.

Why you'll like working here

• A standard 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off (except during an on call week)
• Extra compensation during on-call rotation weeks, currently about one week in four
• Paid training on forklifts and electric pallet jacks, a certification that goes with you
• Experience with several Warehouse Management Systems and barcode scanning tools, skills that grow your career
• Customer-facing work that builds communication and problem-solving experience beyond the warehouse floor
• Benefits: health with HSA/dental/vision, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k)
• Room to advance; we like to promote from within.

What you'll do

• Pick, pack, and ship fulfillment orders accurately and within customer timelines
• Unload inbound shipments and put stock away using established procedures
• Perform inventory counts and keep reports up to date
• Keep the warehouse organized to customer standards
• Communicate with customers by email and phone
• Use company and customer warehouse software, handheld scanners, and barcode equipment
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks (we'll train you)

About the on-call rotation
This role includes the opportunity to join our emergency fulfillment rotation, which covers Friday 5:00 pm through Monday 7:00 am. Rotations are one week at a time, currently one week out of every four, and you're paid extra during your on-call week. Emergency orders need to be filled within one hour of the call, and the weekly average is about 5 call-outs, so you'll need to live within a reasonable drive.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience
• A good safety record and strong organizational skills
• Basic math skills and comfort with email, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Reliable transportation (required)

Bonus points for
