Customer Service Representative - Integrated Supply

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer\'s current and anticipated demand for products/materials, aligned with Vallen\'s purchasing strategies
• Review and approve inventory forecasts and daily replenishment recommendations from ERP/inventory management applications
• Assess existing orders to determine expediting/de-expediting actions for optimal delivery
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders
• Research, assess, and recommend vendors/items to meet quality, pricing, and delivery standards
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products/materials; coordinate returns of damaged/replacement items
• Negotiate and coordinate vendor returns for aging, expired, or excess inventory; coordinate liquidation activities
• Follow up on purchase order status with vendors; communicate order status to customers
• Resolve vendor issues related to timeliness and product quality
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with suppliers, vendors, and assigned customers
• Research and resolve accounts payable nonconformance with suppliers
• Identify and document customer cost-saving opportunities
• Produce customer KPI measurement data
• Follow Vallen and customer SOPs; adhere to LEAN operating practices
• Maintain a professional, clean, and neat worksite
• Assist with creating/tracking purchase orders, procurement requests, and order follow-through until delivery
• Receive orders in system once delivered
• Assist with invoice reconciliation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Required

• 1+ years of experience in Procurement – preferred
• Experience preferred over education

Skills & Certifications

• Customer service excellence
• Procurement and purchase order management
• ERP/Inventory Management system proficiency (SXE and SAP experience helpful, not required)
• Mathematical aptitude for basic calculations
• MS Office proficiency
• Strong verbal and written communication

Eligibilities & qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance) preferred
• CPM certification – preferred
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn new ERP/Inventory Management applications
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and execution skills
• Steel toe shoes required
