Job Summary
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing equipment maintenance, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor repairs, and reassembly activities in accordance with established procedures, manufacturer specifications, and quality standards.
Job Description
- Disassemble equipment according to specific procedures using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Thoroughly clean equipment components to remove petroleum product residues, mud deposits, and other contaminants.
- Inspect disassembled components for damage, excessive wear, corrosion, and other defects.
- Perform minor repairs and component replacements as required and within assigned skill level.
- Reassemble equipment following manufacturer specifications, established procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, tools, and materials used during disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and repair activities.
- Perform assigned higher-level maintenance activities under the direct supervision of a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and delivered on time according to operational requirements.
- Follow strict safety procedures when handling petroleum products, contaminated equipment, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate disassembly and cleaning activities while minimizing production interruptions.
- Accurately document maintenance activities and related information in applicable Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems.
- Adhere to Schlumberger and applicable division TLM standards and procedures.
- Maintain and develop required technical competencies in accordance with the TLM Competency Management System.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve maintenance efficiency, productivity, cost of service delivery, and equipment availability.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Required
- Mechanical disassembly and assembly experience.
- Proficiency using manual and power tools.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment defects, damage, wear, and corrosion.
- Ability to perform basic or minor mechanical repairs.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures, particularly when working with petroleum products and contaminated equipment.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and priorities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn additional maintenance procedures and technical skills.
- Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation and inventory records.
Education
- Requi red: High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional requirements
- Sh i ft: 10AM - 8:30PM Monday - Friday (Saturdays may be required during periods of high activity)
Pay rate
- $23 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
