We are hiring for a position as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient PAT (Pre‑Admission Testing) clinic role. Local Team Collaboration Join our well‑established team at Methodist Hospitals of 8 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator. We are a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world, an integral part of our hospital community, and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups. Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement. Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of experience. Scheduling Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. No Weekends. Key Responsibilities To evaluate the patient's current health, manage anesthesia risks, and optimize their condition for safe surgery. A nurse practitioner reviews the medical history, conducts physical exams, and orders necessary tests. Identify and manage medical conditions that may impact surgical outcomes and collaborate with specialists when needed. Communicate findings and recommendations to surgeons, the anesthesiology team, and primary care providers to coordinate care. Results are reviewed by an anesthesiologist to plan for safe sedation.
