Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

What we're looking for:

DRP is currently seeking a full-time Intake Therapist. The Intake Therapist will provide expertise in handling professional casework and will be responsible for screening, organizing and coordinating new intake calls and referrals, scheduling, and other communications for DRP's clients. The Intake Therapist will work with individuals, groups, and families, ensuring that those served receive the care they deserve, and will be responsible for ensuring potential clients' needs are understood so they are matched to the right clinician for them.

Compensation Range: This position is supported through grant funding. As a result, compensation is determined by the grant budget and may fall within a designated pay rate or range set by that funding source. The compensation range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as licensure, skills and experience. This is a salaried-exempt role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.


The Ideal candidate will:

• Screen, assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans to help clients on their path to recovery.
• Participate in treatment team conferences and collaborate with other professionals, family members, and referral sources.
• Research, locate and act as a liaison between available help outlets based on clients' needs, offering both in-house and external referrals.
• Follow up on the services clients are referred to, ensuring their participation and program compliance.
• Maintain flexible hours to meet the needs of our clients and agency.
• Conduct initial assessments, as well as follow up assessments.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
• Retrieve clients' past medical history treatment and/or psychological records prior to initial appointment.
• Create and implement plans for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, as requested.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a Fully or Limite- Licensed MSW, LP, LPC, or an equivalent combination of experience and education such as an LMSW
• LLMSW/LMSW, TLLP, LLP, LP or LLPC/LPC License in the State of Michigan is required.
• Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Certificate, or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan (required for providing Substance Use Disorder Services).
• A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver's License and insurance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus!
• Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including a criminal background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws and organizational policies.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
