Qualifications

• State License Compact licenses are allowed. License must be in hand at time of application.
• Certifications BLS (AHA)
• Certifications ACLS (AHA)
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in Step-Down in last 3 years.
• Skills Assessment STD skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Additional Confirmations Post-operative open heart care experience is required.
• Additional Confirmations Chest tube and other drain management experience is required.
• Additional Confirmations Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms is required.
• Additional Confirmations Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience assisting with chest tube removal is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with high-flow oxygen and other oxygen delivery systems is required.
• Travel Contract Must travel at least 50.0 miles to receive a travel stipend. Local candidates are eligible, but the pay package may adjust the rate by a few dollars per hour, will not contain a travel stipend, and will be entirely taxable.
