Billing Clerk

This role will prepare and issue accurate invoices, maintain billing records, and support timely payment collection. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to resolve billing questions, correct discrepancies, and help ensure the company’s revenue is recorded accurately and collected on schedule. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in our Tuscaloosa office, with 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities Batch billing review, and process daily batches and create invoices Enter customer data into accounting or ERP systems and maintain organized billing records Verify invoice details, pricing, tax, and customer information for accuracy Respond to customer billing questions and resolve discrepancies in coordination with sales, customer service, or operations teams Process credits, adjustments, and account updates as needed Reconcile billing activity and assist with month-end reporting and account reviews Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounting, or a related administrative role preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or billing software Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders Basic understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation Key Skills Data entry and recordkeeping Invoice preparation and review Customer service and issue resolution Time management and follow-through Analytical thinking and problem-solving Hybrid environment (two days working from home and three days in the office). Work from home requirements regarding working space, internet requirements, etc. are required. The Billing Clerk must be able to manage deadlines, handle confidential information, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
