If you have a passion for quality cuts, food safety, and delivering outstanding customer service, we want you on our team.Position Overview:As a Meat Cutter, you'll be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for the sales floor, special orders, and display cases. You'll ensure our meat offerings meet high standards for quality, freshness, and safety—while providing friendly and knowledgeable service to our customers.Key Responsibilities:Cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and seafood items to company and customer specificationsFollow proper safety and sanitation procedures when operating knives, saws, slicers, and grindersMaintain meat case presentation, freshness, and product rotationWrap, weigh, label, and stock meat products for displayAssist customers with meat selections, custom cuts, and cooking suggestionsMonitor and maintain inventory, back stock, and cooler organizationClean and sanitize tools, cutting boards, and work areas regularlySupport department manager with prep, ordering, and training tasks as neededStock and rotate packaged meat products in refrigerated casesRequirements:Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldPrevious experience in meat cutting, butchery, or meat preparation requiredStrong knife skills and understanding of meat types and cutsFood safety certified or willing to obtain (McKeever's will assist)Reliable, professional, and customer-service orientedAble to follow safety and sanitation guidelines preciselyPhysical Requirements:Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) in cold environmentsLift and carry up to 80 lbs regularlyFrequent bending, cutting, reaching, and repetitive motionsWork with sharp equipment and heavy-duty machineryEmployee Benefits:Daily Pay Option – Access your earnings when you need themMedical Benefits – Available to full-time team members401(k) Program – Plan for your future with our retirement savings programOn-the-Job Training – Develop skills with professional supportHelp with Food Handler Permit – We'll help you get certifiedWhy Join McKeever Price Chopper?At McKeever's, every cut counts.
