TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53718!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Epic experience; passing of telemetry test prior to starting Description: Day and evening shifts are available with 12-hour workdays from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend and holiday rotations will be based on operational need. Candidates must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Epic experience is required. A RN license is mandatory. BLS certification from AHA is required. Travelers must pass a telemetry test before starting. Patient ratios typically range from 5 on days to 6 on nights. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. The medical/surgical telemetry unit comprises a fast-paced environment caring for adult patients. The unit handles a variety of medical diagnoses such as COPD, heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, and various infections. Ortho surgeries including total joint replacements are common. Advanced technology and evidence-based practices are utilized in a collaborative team setting. Participants are encouraged to engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to practice changes. Nurses will collaborate in developing, executing, and evaluating multidisciplinary care plans. A telemetry exam must be passed prior to a traveler starting their position. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam. Failure to pass on the second attempt requires the submission of a certificate for a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned. If travelers do not succeed after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled. Quality and patient-centered care in a professional environment focused on collaboration and respect is a priority.
