Job Summary Dynalectric Company San Diego is hiring for a BIM Detailer. We are looking for a self-starting, detailed, organized BIM detailer who is a team player with good communication skills. Field Foreman experience is highly desirable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Working within a project team to develop strategies for BIM execution on medium and large commercial and industrial projects 3D & 2D drafting of electrical systems Coordination of electrical systems with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, and fire protection systems Quality control of all PDF documents sent to the field for installation purposes Communication with project team to issue field deliverables in a timely manner Any other duties as assigned/needed Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferred Skills & Experience 5 years field electrical experience – Field Foreman experience highly desirable Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and project specifications 2 years detailing experience Solid understanding of AutoCAD, professional training preferred but not required Ability to use Navisworks Manage for clash coordination Ability to communicate and work within a team Revit experience is a plus Bluebeam experience is a plus Basic use of email (Lotus Notes), Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Computer Skills Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel) Familiarity with AutoCAD and other electrical, technical, or construction programs Familiarity with project management/document control software Familiarity with construction/financial software packages Required Attributes Integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values Self–motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving and multi‑tasking skills High standards of quality with attention to detail Ability to manage and supervise personnel Build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers and customers Language Skills Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English and cooperate and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, see, talk and hear. Use hands for handling objects, tools or controls. Walk, reach, climb, balance and stoop. Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty‑five (25) pounds. Requires close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Regular commute to field locations required. Work Environment Work may involve sitting or standing for long periods in front of a computer and traveling to field locations. Outdoor field work may expose the employee to wet/humid conditions, high or precarious places, dust, fumes, chemicals, weather conditions and noise. There is a moderate to loud noise level.
