Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP Float)

Location

Williston, ND | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0645–1915 / 1845–0715) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and neonatal patients in an LDRP setting, including those with hypertension, gestational diabetes, and other common obstetric diagnoses
• Titrate drips including pitocin, insulin, and magnesium, following AWHONN staffing guidelines (1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips; 1:3 couplet care)
• Independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips using the TraceView/PIP EFM system and Philips telemetry monitors
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
• Float to Med/Surg and the Emergency Department as needed based on staffing requirements
• Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurses; support quality metrics and maintain critical thinking in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Experience titrating drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, and/or STABLE certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and TraceView/PIP EFM systems
• Adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to float across multiple units
