Power BI Developer :: New York, New York (New York, NY) Power BI Job Description: Certified Power BI Resource. Must have at least 6 years of Power BI experience. Experienced working on Power BI Premium. Proficient in Power Query, M language, Power Maps, and Custom Visualizations. Ability to write advanced DAX expressions. Experience in Power BI Administration (managing permissions, installing gateways, scheduling). Ability to work with various data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, SSAS, Azure Analysis Services, HDFS, etc. Data preparation using Power BI's built-in features. Experience in data modeling and custom calculations in Power BI. Proficient in SQL for managing large data volumes, query tuning, and building automations to improve data processing speed. Responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications to meet user requirements. Maintain source code in a central repository with proper version control. Expertise in designing and suggesting UI based on user requirements. Exposure to other reporting tools like Qlik and Cognos is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Quick learner, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative problem-solving approach. Preferred: Willing to relocate to NYC and work in a hybrid mode.
