The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.00. This role is also eligible for SCs annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria./ppJoin Our Team as a Material Handler!/ppThe Material Handler Basic is responsible for transporting materials from supply stores to drop-off locations using a tugger. Trigger cards and internal applications are used to notify the Material Handler that additional stock is needed. This position completes forklift training requirements needed in order to advance to the intermediate level./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliUse a tugger to deliver materials to dedicated drop-off locations within the manufacturing facility./liliUtilize trigger cards and internal applications to identify where new materials are needed, ensuring accuracy in quantities and proper procedures are followed./liliComplete SC Stand-up Forklift certification program, including any required testing and certification hours need to pass the program./liliReview job orders and part drawings to accurately determine which parts and materials are needed for specific jobs and areas./liliUtilize Oracle ERP to determine part quantities, locations, and receiving history./liliMeet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards./liliUnderstand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules./liliWork with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality./liliOther responsibilities as assigned./li/ulpWhat youll Need to Succeed:/pulli1+ years of demonstrated experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment./lili1+ years of driving a stand-up forklift with a safe driving record is required./liliHigh School Diploma/GED/liliAbility to operate an electric stand- up forklift for indoor and outdoor use is required./liliGood attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently./liliAbility to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests./liliGood communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments./liliBasic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications./liliBasic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities and weights./liliGood interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department./liliAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as scales and calipers./liliAbility and willingness to follow Health Safety Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team./liliProficient in using MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles/li/ulpSC Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
