What you'll do

Docusign is seeking a talented and results-oriented AI Engineer to focus on delivering intelligent, trusted data and AI solutions to the business. As a member of the Global Data Analytics (GDA) team, you will leverage a variety of technologies to design, develop, and deliver AI-powered features in addition to loading, transforming, and preparing data sets of all shapes and sizes. During a typical day, you will develop new features to analyze data, build AI agents, and load tested data sets into the Snowflake Enterprise Data Warehouse. You will have the opportunity to use innovative technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow while pioneering our AI agent orchestration layer. We are looking for a candidate with a positive "can do" attitude, a passion for learning, and the drive to work hard in a fast-paced environment.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics.

Responsibility

• Build and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines and AI agent orchestrations
• Develop and deploy autonomous agents using frameworks like CrewAI and LangChain
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and manage Vector Databases to enhance LLM context and accuracy
• Utilize Langgraph/CrewAI for complex stateful multi-agent orchestration
• Implement robust Evaluations (e.g., Arize) to monitor and improve model performance and reliability
• Analyze and develop data quality and validation procedures to ensure trusted data for AI applications
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide AI-driven solutions
• Own, monitor, and improve solutions to ensure SLAs are met
• Execute projects using Agile Scrum methodologies in a collaborative team environment

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of Data/Software Engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience specifically within agentic orchestration, RAG-based architectures, and LLM implementation
• Experience developing data pipelines in Python or Java
• 3+ years of dimensional and relational data modeling experience
• Experience with SQL and database management

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with LangChain, Langgraph, CrewAI, and Arize
• 3+ years in Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• 5+ years with AWS, Spark, and Data Lake environments
• 5+ years with dbt, Matillion, and Airflow
• Experience with Claude Code, Cortex, and VSCode Copilot development models
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $146,400.00 - $235,375.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

• Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
• Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
