Director of Finance

Role Description The Director of Finance (DOF) is responsible for providing executive level leadership in the financial matters of Urban Peak, a $12MM 501 (c) (3) organization. In collaboration with the Finance Committee and Board of Directors, the DOF serves as a thought partner to the CEO in developing and implementing financial strategies across the organization to ensure program success and long-term fiscal sustainability. The DOF serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, a collaboration of program and administrative Directors who establish priorities to achieve strategic objectives and oversees finance staff who handle all financial activities for the organization. Qualifications A Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance, OR a master’s in accounting degree or related field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a financial leadership position including financial analysis, staff supervision, strategic planning, roll-up budgeting, audits and high-level problem solving. Experience presenting financial information to Board of Directors and/or Finance Committee. Executive level financial management experience as well as hands-on accounting experience. Experience with not for profit and fund accounting, government reporting, and audits; single audit experience preferred. Capital project financial management experience preferred.
